Each project has its own individual stories to tell, and the drama of those stories can appeal to people of all ages.
Good interpretive writing captures the essence of tales waiting to be told,
and provides learning, excitement and wonder.

Longford Popular Music Heritage Project

We are creating a searchable database of 20th century musicians of various genres, and dance venues, throughout the county. It includes individual musicians, marching bands, dance bands, Céilí, and showbands, and more. 

Westmeath Industrial
Heritage OH Project

This oral history project records the memories and stories of work now disappearing or gone: traditional boatbuilding, newspaper printing, local distillery work, stone masonry, eel fishing, and others. 

Casino House Model Railway Museum

The beautifully restored Casino cottage now houses the unique Cyril Fry collection of exquisite hand-crafted railway models he designed and made over 70 years ago. 

Killarney House and Gardens

With the gardens restored to their former glory, the interpretive exhibition in Killarney House opens a gateway into the world-renowned Killarney National Park.

Michael Collins House

Located in a beautiful Georgian square in Clonakilty, West Cork, this museum tells the story of the Irish patriot Michael Collins in the area where he grew up and loved. 


Lusitania Exhibition -Kinsale Museum

This exhibition commemorates the centenary of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania. The project was built around artefacts from the ship held in the museum, after they were washed ashore from the wreck.

Old Head Signal Tower and Lusitania Museum

This restored Napoleonic signal tower on the beautiful Old Head of Kinsale tells the story of the 81 towers built around the Irish coast. It also remembers the dramatic tale of the RMS Lusitania, which sank approx. 11 miles offshore.
